The Inside Income Service is planning to push again the deadline for the tax submitting season about one month to Might 15 from April 15, CNBC’s Ylan Mui confirmed.
This may give taxpayers further time to file their 2020 tax returns and pay any quantities owed to the IRS.
The transfer from the IRS and Treasury Division comes after calls to extend the tax season increased following the passage of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which meant the company was tasked with sending one other spherical of stimulus funds whereas processing tax returns and refunds.
